Every organization is driven by requirements. When there are no requirements, there is nothing to do. Requirements may exist, but if not clear, concise, unambiguous and valid, individuals may do the wrong things. For defining requirements we need to answer the What, Where, When, Who and Why. Any answer is dealing with aspects of process, information, technology and people. An organisation is successful not only when using cutting edge technology but if material and information flows are optimal tuned to the business scenarios. The definition, analysis, improvement and measurement of these flows and processes and the related costs are key for any business and quality improvement initiative and programme. That said any actual situation can be blurred by issues like the complexity of a product, the number of stakeholders involved, lack of clear definition of roles and responsibilities, legacy applications, geographically dispersed teams or the lack of governance.
We see it as our professional challenge to play a key role in improvement initiatives that are aiming to create and integrated whole, defining solutions existing out of the right mix of processes, working practices, organisational set-up and ICT systems by providing consultancy and interim management thus enabling companies to improve the return on investment on their products and projects.
